THE BEST FRATERNITY IN KETTERING/GMI HISTORY. Obviously, when you have such diversity in
a house, cliques will form. All
of us remember the guys that we were the closest to. There were guys you could tell someone everything
about and then guys who you knew not much about, but when it came
right down to it – you were brothers.
You’d always be there for each other. The experiences and lessons
I learned from living in the house have changed many parts of my life.
I think I’ve learned 10 times more from the members of Lambda Chi
than I ever did from a college professor (however some would say that
doesn’t take much – to that I say screw y’all)
I’m not talking on an intellectual level.
I’m talking about how to treat people, how to work with people
and how to respect people. No
matter their differences, you respect them as brothers and as a brother,
you’re there for them at all times and all occasions. |

Eleven weeks of two o’clock
taco bell runs and diligent studying have finally paid off. Lambda Chi A-Section ascended to the pinnacle
of the Kettering scholastic hierarchy. We posted an 88.488 average, earning bragging
rights for our house with the highest average of any Greek organization
on campus. In addition to beating
out our Greek counterparts, we also posted a higher average than the
independents, who only had an 86.804. |

I would attribute this
success solely to the hard work and motivational talks of the Sigma,
but these are only small facets of our formula for success. The majority of the credit should go to the
brothers, who spent their nights studying, who strove to do their
best, and who did not let obstacles thwart their climb to academic
excellence.
